After earning his bachelor’s degree from the Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine in Egypt, Dr. Bishai completed his psychiatry training at One Brook Health (formerly Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center) in Brooklyn, New York. He later finished a clinical fellowship in pain management at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Bishai was certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and previously served as the medical director of the psychosomatic sleep medicine department at Penn State Health in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

At The Woodlands Psychiatry and Counseling, Dr. Bishai offers in-office and telepsychiatry appointments to screen for mental health issues like anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and bipolar disorder.
