Steve Deutsch Woodwind repairs and restores flutes, clarinets, saxophones, oboes, and bassoons. Steve Deutsch also offers a woodwind repair apprenticeship. He also has classic restored instruments for sale. He’s one of 5 technicians in the US trained in advanced techniques necessary to repair Muramatsu flutes and the installation of their specially designed pads. Each instrument that comes his way presents a new set of problems. The challenge is to eliminate mechanical problems so that one can play with the confidence that musical thought will not be interfered with.
