Location and special features

Where children used to go to school is now the largest shopping center in Lusatia. Behind the historic facades of the Carl Blechen elementary school, the Blechen Carré was built until 2008. Named after the Cottbus painter Carl Blechen, the shopping center is first and foremost distinguished by its central location on the city promenade. However, the successful mix of around 80 different specialist stores also contributes to the center's appeal. The city center shopping center has just under 20,000 square meters of retail space. The bright inner courtyard is also used effectively, regularly providing an atmospheric backdrop for events and promotions.
