Location and special features

It is a special story that the Porta Markt shopping center tells. For it was here in 1965 that the furniture store Porta Möbel was established, not only a furniture store on a greenfield site, but also one of the largest shopping centers in the country. Because in the wake of the furniture retailer Porta Möbel, other stores settled here and now form the shopping center Porta Markt. Today, Porta Markt has 53 different stores with a total sales area of 62,000 square meters. However, 25,000 square meters alone are still devoted to Porta Möbel furniture stores.

Directions and parking

Porta Markt is ideally connected to both the cities of Porta Westfalica and Minden via the B65 and the B61. The shopping center offers a large number of open-air parking spaces, which are free of charge. Those arriving by bus can use the bus connections to Minden, Bad Oyenhausen, Hausberge and Eisbergen.
