Location and special features

With the opening of the Schwabengalerie in 2005, Stuttgart-Vaihingen got a modern and spacious shopping center, which also has two large-scale retail stores, Media Markt and Kaufland. At the same time, the shopping center, which is located directly on the market square, also offers many small stores and services. The good mix and the central location make the Schwabengalerie very attractive as a local supply center for the citizens of Vaihingen. At the same time, many a Vaihingen resident also likes to drop in for a coffee. Incidentally, the name of the shopping center is derived from the Schwaben Bräu brewery, on whose former premises the Schwabengalerie was built.

Directions and parking

The Schwabengalerie is located directly on the main road, which at its western end provides access to the Autobahn 831 in the direction of the Stuttgarter Kreuz intersection. Visitors can park their cars for a fee in more than 1150 covered parking spaces. Those traveling to the Schwabengalerie by bus or train can either use bus lines 81, 84 and 751 or take the S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S3. The U1 also runs through Vaihingen and thus offers the best connections to downtown Stuttgart. The common stop for all means of public transport is Schwabenplatz, which is located directly opposite the Schwabengalerie.
